Some people may think that B & C stands
for “best” and “cheapest” but in reality it stands for Bob and Cynthia, although
I kind of like the best and cheapest reference because we think it does apply
in this case. We started this business after in 1997 after I was browsing
through my cousins pool supply book. He’s in the business of leak detection
and repair of swimming pools and is located in Southern California. After
seeing with my own eyes the markup for pool supplies I came back to Arizona
and had an idea. I worked at a large Semi-conductor company in Phoenix and
I started asking people if they would be interested in buying pool supplies
from me at reduced prices. I also offered free delivery for the local area.
After quoting some prices they were amazed that we could save them that much
money and they soon started buying their pool supplies from us. I also started
a small website and began selling products over the Internet. I believe we
were one of the few Internet pool supplies at that time. The business soon
became my wifes project with me helping her and it took off from there. We
get all our pool supplies either from the manufacturer or for the most part
from local but nationwide affiliated pool supply wholesalers. These are the
SAME wholesalers all the big nationwide retail pool supply dealers get their
products from. This year you will see us grow more than ever and we plan
to do that by offering personalized service and sales. There are many dealers
on the Internet now with pretty much all the same low prices. We believe
we can surpass these dealers with a more personal stamp of own Arizona hospitality.
